We are seeking a talented and experienced Sous Chef to join our fine dining restaurant in Madinah, Saudi Arabia. As the second-in-command in our kitchen, you will work closely with the Executive Chef to create exceptional culinary experiences for our discerning guests.

  • Assist the Executive Chef in overseeing Room service & Fine Dining orders & operations and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation
  • Develop and implement innovative menu items, focusing on both local and international cuisines
  • Train, mentor, and supervise kitchen staff to maintain excellent culinary standards
  • Manage food cost control, inventory, and kitchen budgets
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized kitchen environment
  • Collaborate with the front-of-house team to enhance guest satisfaction and address any culinary concerns
  • Step in for the Executive sous Chef when necessary, demonstrating strong leadership and decision-making skills
  • Participate in menu planning, recipe development, and food presentation improvements

Qualifications

  • Culinary degree or diploma from a reputable culinary school
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in fine dining restaurants, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
  • Proven expertise in advanced culinary techniques, menu development, and kitchen management
  • Strong knowledge of international cuisines, particularly Middle Eastern and Western
  • Excellent food cost control and inventory management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a kitchen team
  • Up-to-date food safety certification
  • Proficiency in kitchen management software and Microsoft Office suite
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Creativity and passion for culinary innovation
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus
  • Ability to work in Saudi Arabia (valid work visa or citizenship)
