The Auburn Marriott Opelika Resort & Spa at Grand National is seeking a Sous Chef to join our culinary leadership team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Sous Chef, Kitchen Supervisor, or experienced chef from a smaller operation who is ready to grow into a larger, full-service resort environment.

You will work closely with culinary leadership team to lead kitchen operations and deliver exceptional food and memorable dining experiences across restaurants, banquets, room service, bar/lounge, and associate dining.

What You'll Do

• Lead, coach, train, and develop culinary associates.
• Assist with daily kitchen operations and ensure consistent food quality, presentation, and service.
• Support restaurants, banquets, room service, bar/lounge, and special events.
• Contribute to daily and seasonal menu development and culinary innovation.
• Monitor purchasing, receiving, inventory, food quality, waste, and food costs.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, OSHA, Health Department, and other applicable standards.
• Work closely with Food & Beverage leadership to improve guest satisfaction and operational performance.
• Use budgets, payroll, and operating reports to effectively manage department resources.
• Foster a positive team environment built on communication, accountability, teamwork, and hospitality.
