Belgravia Leisure is seeking a dynamic and experienced Food & Beverage Manager to lead the hospitality operations at the newly developed East Fremantle Community Park a vibrant hub for sport, leisure, and community engagement.

The Role

Reporting the Head Chef as Sous Chef of the East Fremantle Community Park which incorporates a Bar & Cafe, Function Centre, Fitness Centre, associated Football Oval, Bowling Greens and Croquet Greens you will be responsible for the venue’s hospitality operational, financial and program deliverables. You will develop and execute plans through engagement with the venue's leadership team and key stakeholders.

You are a creative, organised, and hands-on kitchen leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You take pride in producing high-quality food consistently and enjoy mentoring a team to deliver exceptional dining experiences.

Key Accountabilities

  • Hands-on food preparation and supervision of kitchen operations
  • Oversee food quality control, menu development, and presentation standards
  • Recruit, train, and mentor kitchen staff for optimal performance
  • Collaborate with internal teams (kitchen, bar, operations, marketing) to ensure high-quality service and venue success
  • Manage food costs, budgets, and profitability while meeting revenue targets
  • Maintain compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, innovations, and best practices
  • Assist with front-of-house operations and function service as required.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience as a Sous Chef or strong Chef de Partie ready to step up
  • Relevant professional certifications in kitchen operations or hospitality
  • Knowledge of food costing, menu planning, and kitchen management
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills to manage a diverse team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to build relationships with staff, guests, and suppliers
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a high-volume environment
  • National Police Check

East Fremantle Community Park is a unique, integrated space combining sport, leisure, and hospitality. It features:
