As a Sous-Chef at Nestlé Research, your mission is to support daily kitchen operations, ensure smooth service, and maintain exceptional culinary standards. You’ll make a difference by collaborating closely with the Head Chef, the food and beverage leadership team, and kitchen teams across shared operations and events. How you’ll make an impact as a Sous-Chef

  • Leading a high-performing kitchen operation that delivers consistent quality, presentation, and service excellence.
  • Driving efficient food preparation and service workflows that reduce delays and improve the guest experience.
  • Optimizing ingredient use, inventory, and kitchen processes to strengthen cost control and minimize waste.
  • Maintaining a safe, compliant, and well-organized kitchen environment through rigorous food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Coaching and developing the kitchen team to build capability, engagement, and strong day-to-day performance.
  • Shaping menu innovation and cross-team collaboration that elevate events, shared operations, and overall culinary excellence.

What will make you successful

  • Bringing extensive experience (minimum 10 years) in fine dining and luxury culinary environments, including 5-star or palace settings, with a strong focus on premium standards and exceptional guest experience.
  • Applying proven leadership in managing large kitchen teams of 15+ people in fast-paced environments, with the organizational strength to guide performance, coordination, and service excellence.
  • Demonstrating solid experience in banqueting and large-scale event operations, with the ability to plan, coordinate, and deliver high-quality culinary services for diverse event formats.
  • Using food safety, hygiene, and operational discipline to ensure consistency, compliance, and kitchen efficiency.
  • Collaborating effectively across multicultural teams while bringing creativity, resilience, and a hands-on, solution-oriented mindset.
  • Communicating fluently in English and French.
  • Bringing collaboration, fresh thinking, bold questions, respect, and a positive, wellbeing-oriented mindset.
