We’re now seeking a Café & Functions Chef to join our village hospitality team.
Your Opportunity
This is a hands‑on role delivering high‑quality food across both café service and village functions. You’ll support the Head Chef and play a key role in ensuring smooth daily operations.
You’ll balance prep, service and coordination while contributing to menu planning and maintaining a strong customer experience.
In this role, you will:
Prepare and deliver café meals and function catering to a high standard
Support daily kitchen operations, service flow and food preparation
Assist with menu development and specials
Manage ordering of ingredients, stock and supplies
Support supervision and training of kitchen staff
Assist with coordination and delivery of functions and events
Maintain food safety, hygiene and kitchen standards
Contribute to efficient, well‑organised kitchen operations
What You’ll Bring
You’re a reliable, hands‑on chef who enjoys variety and working in a team‑focused environment.
You’ll bring:
Certificate in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
4+ years’ experience in café, restaurant or function environments
Experience preparing food in a high‑volume or multi‑service kitchen
Strong understanding of food safety, HACCP and kitchen operations
Ability to work collaboratively and support team performance
Food Safety Supervisor Certificate and RSA
Experience in aged care, community or events catering is highly regarded.

We are the designated state-wide major trauma centre for paediatrics in Victoria and a Nationally Funded Centre for cardiac and liver transplantation.
