Assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations and food preparation
Supervise and support kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance management
Prepare and cook dishes according to recipes, ensuring consistency, quality, and presentation
Oversee daily food production to meet high standards
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe kitchen environment, ensuring equipment and utensils are in good working condition
Monitor inventory levels, including ordering and restocking ingredients and supplies
Assist in menu planning and development, including testing new recipes and dishes
Adhere strictly to Food Hygiene standards and the Site Allergen Procedure
Follow all health and safety protocols, including proper food handling, storage, and hygiene practices
Handle food quality or kitchen operation issues, escalating to the Head Chef when necessary
Coordinate with front-of-house staff for smooth service and timely dish delivery
Support Head Chef in managing kitchen costs and maintaining budgetary controls
Cover for the Head Chef in their absence, taking responsibility for kitchen operations and staff management
Complete required online training within two weeks of start date
Minimum two years experience in Mediterranean cuisine
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
Strong organisational and leadership skills
Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays
Strong communication skills in English
Self-motivated, proactive, and enthusiastic
Willingness to learn and grow within the team
