Job Description

Sodexo is seeking (2) Sous Chef's to lead daily culinary operations for our food team at HMH Jersey Shore Medical Center located in Neptune City, New Jersey Jersey Shore Medical Center operates with approximately 700 beds, serving as a major regional academic medical center. Specific recent data indicates it has 628 staffed beds and includes an 88-bed children's hospital (K. Hovnanian Children's Hospital)

One Sous Chef will lead Retail Operations while the other Sous Chef leads Patient Dining Operations

What You'll Do

The successful candidate will:

  • maintain adherence to all local, state, federal, and organizations regulatory requirements.
  • ensure all food safety and sanitation standards are followed without exception
  • be responsible for Food and Physical Safety and annual training for all hourly production associates;
  • implement innovative and fresh ideas in retail, catering and patient services
  • create interpersonal relationships with clients in hospital
  • proven to effectively communicate to multiple audiences and develop strong relationships with customers and patients
  • the ability to multitask and proven effectiveness in a high-standards driven environment;
  • proficient computer skills as well as exceptional organizational and customer services skills;
  • Servsafe certified as well as working knowledge of HACCP and experience with Health and Safety audits.
