We are hiring a temporary part-time Sous Chef for The Residence at Homewood Health Centre in Guelph. The Residence is a private boutique Residence on Homewood’s grounds with the capacity to accommodate nine guests at a time and requires discretion and professionalism as you interact regularly with the guests. As the Sous Chef, under the leadership of the Executive Chef, you will coordinate, participate, plan and supervise the production, preparation and presentation of food to ensure that consistent high quality meals are prepared and served to clients. This includes, in the absence of the Executive Chef, providing direction to onsite food service employees assigned to work in The Residence as well as actively supporting the Executive Chef in managing all aspects pertaining to the daily operation of the kitchen & dining room at The Residence.
The Residence is a premier and highly specialized facility focused on delivering world-class, medically based treatment for mental health, addiction and concurrent conditions in a private, highly personalized and luxurious residential setting. It is staffed by a dedicated team of nationally recognized medical and clinical experts including psychiatrists, physicians, and psychologists with access to national experts in various mental health and addiction specialties at the Homewood Health Centre. All activities are focused on helping clients build the skills they need to achieve and sustain recovery.
This is a casual part time position with the ability to work varied hours including (week days 11am-6:30pm, Saturdays 7:30am-6:30pm, and Sunday shifts are 8:00am-6:30pm).
