Sous Chef – Step into a Role That Truly Makes a Difference

Aramark UK are on the lookout for a talented Sous Chef to join our buzzing team at Northwood HQ — a site with three busy kitchens and a whole lot of variety. At Northwood, you’ll help lead a high‑performing kitchen where pace, teamwork, and creativity come together. You’ll take charge of daily operations when the Head Chef is off‑site, producing up to 300 meals at a time and keeping service running smoothly. Security Requirements

Due to the nature of our work, you must:

• Have lived in the UK for the past 3 years
• Have the legal right to work in the UK
• Be able to pass full security vetting and an enhanced DBS check

What We Offer

A rare schedule in hospitality:
40 hours per week, 5 days a week, with Sous Chef hours typically Monday–Friday, 08:00–16:30, overseeing lunch service — giving you your evenings back. One weekend per month required.

A Day in the Life

As our Sous Chef, you’ll:

• Lead kitchen shifts in the Head Chef’s absence, producing up to 1000 meals during peak times
• Motivate, organise, and support the wider team to deliver smooth, efficient service
• Prepare dishes to spec with full understanding of menu and allergen requirements
• Manage production levels, minimise waste, place orders, and maintain accurate stock records
• Receive and store deliveries using FIFO standards
• Champion high cleaning and hygiene standards through regular deep cleans
• Ensure staff are trained, confident, and set up to shine in their roles

You’ll thrive here if you have:

• A relevant culinary qualification
• Experience as a Sous Chef or strong Senior CDP ready for the next step
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to perform under pressure
• The required residency, right to work, and ability to pass security vetting
