Job Title: Sourcing Specialist (Merchandiser) Textile Sector

Location: Cantt, Lahore
Job Type: Full-Time, Onsite

Compensation: 130k+ (60km Fuels)

Department: Sourcing & Merchandising

We are seeking a Sourcing Specialist (Merchandiser) with a strong understanding of textile products, vendor management, and order execution. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the end-to-end sourcing cycleright from vendor identification and development to production follow-ups and timely deliveryensuring quality and cost targets are met for both domestic and international buyers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Source suitable suppliers and manufacturers for woven, knitwear, home textiles, or apparel based on buyer requirements.
• Prepare cost sheets, product specs, and time & action (T&A) calendars
• Manage product development, including sampling, price negotiations, and approvals from buyers.
• Ensure timely order placements, follow-ups on production, and smooth shipment execution.
• Conduct regular vendor evaluations on quality, capacity, compliance, and pricing.
• Coordinate with quality teams and labs for testing and inspection processes
• Monitor production status and resolve any issues that could delay timelines.
• Maintain documentation related to orders, approvals, samples, and production
• Work closely with buyers to understand product expectations, share updates, and provide clear communication.
• Assist in trend forecasting, fabric sourcing, and new vendor onboarding.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Textile/Fashion Merchandising, Apparel Management, or Business
• 25 years of experience in textile merchandising, sourcing, or buying
• Strong understanding of fabric types, trims, production processes, dyeing, and printing techniques
• Hands-on experience with vendor communications, sampling, and costing
• Familiar with lead time management, order execution, and quality assurance coordination
• Excellent communication skills in English (written & verbal).
• Proficient in Excel, ERP systems, and T&A tracking tools

Preferred Skills:

• Experience dealing with international buyers and export markets

  Knowledge of current fashion trends, textile fairs, and sourcing platforms.
