As a Lead Procurement Specialist you will lead the Procurement team and manage the buying process for a given set of goods. You will apply sourcing policy, interface between suppliers and entities with respect to specifications and budgets.
As a Sourcing Specialist - Buying/ Procurement, you will be responsible to:
Place and follow up on POs. Manage relationships with suppliers for PO execution. Manage and solve problem as well as schedule changes. Update ERP.
Achieve lowest possible cost for material, balanced against optimum quality and schedule needs.
Ensure that material/services will be delivered on schedule, at negotiated price and meet required quality standards and support strategic suppliers’ developments.
Initiate necessary action to assure best value is received, customer delivery requirements are met, and address any manufacturing problems at supplier’s facility.
Handles communication with direct colleagues and the business about approach and methods for solving complex problems
Leads design and implementation of projects. Work goals typically span 1-2 years to complete, and the impact is felt over the 12 month – 2 years’ time horizon.
To be successful in this role you will:
Bachelor's degree preferably in business/ engineering/ supply chain from an accredited university is preferred.
Minimum 8-10 years’ experience in Buying- Procurement, Sourcing, and/or Supply chain..
Have excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as established interpersonal and leadership skills.
Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
Demonstrated project management skills to lead projects.
Managing relationships; able to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
