Sourcing Specialist - Buying/ Procurement

As a Lead Procurement Specialist you will lead the Procurement team and manage the buying process for a given set of goods. You will apply sourcing policy, interface between suppliers and entities with respect to specifications and budgets.

As a Sourcing Specialist - Buying/ Procurement, you will be responsible to:

• Place and follow up on POs. Manage relationships with suppliers for PO execution. Manage and solve problem as well as schedule changes. Update ERP.

• Achieve lowest possible cost for material, balanced against optimum quality and schedule needs.

• Ensure that material/services will be delivered on schedule, at negotiated price and meet required quality standards and support strategic suppliers’ developments.

• Initiate necessary action to assure best value is received, customer delivery requirements are met, and address any manufacturing problems at supplier’s facility.

• Handles communication with direct colleagues and the business about approach and methods for solving complex problems

• Leads design and implementation of projects. Work goals typically span 1-2 years to complete, and the impact is felt over the 12 month – 2 years’ time horizon.

To be successful in this role you will:

• Bachelor's degree preferably in business/ engineering/ supply chain from an accredited university is preferred.

• Minimum 8-10 years’ experience in Buying- Procurement, Sourcing, and/or Supply chain..

• Have excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as established interpersonal and leadership skills.

• Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.

• Demonstrated project management skills to lead projects.

• Managing relationships; able to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
