Support cable assembly manufacturing in Nogales, MX.As part of our Cable Assembly Segment team, this role will report to Division Sourcing/NPD Manager.In the Sourcing position, one will be responsible for managing local supplier relationships and procurement.

Our Team

This position faces repeated problems, relying on the interpretation of manuals and procedures, and receiving support from the supervisor. The position interacts with maintenance, quality, finance, purchasing and production employees.

What You Will Do

  • Working with internal customers to identify and address unmet needs that align with procurement and business goals to deliver long-term value
  • Partner with Molex Design teams throughout the Product Development process to manage BOM cost through Product Launch
  • Apply appropriate category strategies (Metals, Plastics, Electronics, Outsourcing, etc.) from Category Managers to new product sourcing needs
  • Assist in implementing new sourcing/inventory strategies because of accelerated sourcing transformation or other requirements
  • Proactive supply risk management in the new product development process
  • Ability to lead and effectively manage change and transformational initiatives
  • Effective use of verbal and written communication to provide resolution and status updates to customers and suppliers
  • Utilize critical thinking skills to identify, analyze, and execute opportunities to streamline processes and achieve the lowest total cost of ownership on projects
  • Foster internal and external relationships to collaborate with cross-functional teams at the facility
  • Working with requestors to understand requirements, specifications, and timing, conducting a competitive bidding process, including soliciting RFIs/RFPs and robust bid analysis & recommendations
  • Issues requests for quotations, analyzes and evaluates quotes, negotiates price and terms, and exercises independent judgment to select suppliers based on the lowest total cost of ownership
  • New product supplier identification, sourcing, selection, and contracting
  • Manages own time to accomplish goals and prioritize a variety of tasks
  • Understand, support, and contribute to the fulfillment of the PBM Philosophy, the different Quality Management standards in which the company is certified, in Safety and Hygiene, in environmental management systems, Six Sigma, RBA (Responsible Business Alliance), and CTPAT/OEA by following established policies and procedures
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's Degree Administration/Engineering
  • 3 years as minimum experience in a similar position
  • Experience within Aerospace, Automotive or Medical Industries
  • Knowledge of QS/AS/IATF quality systems
  • Strong supplier management skills
  • Strong Knowledge on local & global supply base
  • Familiarity with Cost Estimation with Global supply base & Market Intelligence
  • Good negotiation skills and business sense
  • SAP proficiency
