The Sourcing Specialist is responsible for providing analytical and operational support to the Sourcing team. The main objective is to collect, analyze, and present critical data related to suppliers, market conditions, and costs, enabling strategic decision-making and the optimization of purchasing activities.
This role directly contributes to identifying cost-saving opportunities, mitigating supply chain risks, and ensuring the availability of electronic components, thereby supporting the company’s efficiency, cost, and quality objectives.
Responsibilities
• Data and Spend Analysis: Collect, clean, and analyze spend data, component costs, and supplier performance to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Market Research: Analyze electronic components, suppliers, price trends, availability, and emerging technologies.
• Supplier Selection: Support the identification, evaluation, and research of potential suppliers.
• RFx Process Management (RFI, RFP, RFQ): Assist in preparation, follow-up, response consolidation, and comparative analysis.
• Database Maintenance: Update supplier information, pricing, contracts, and relevant documentation.
• Reporting and Presentations: Develop dashboards, KPIs, and analytical reports with recommendations.
• Supplier Performance Tracking: Monitor supplier performance in delivery, quality, and cost.
• Regulatory Compliance: Support compliance with regulations (RoHS, REACH, conflict minerals).
• Obsolescence Management: Track component lifecycle and identify potential risks.
• Administrative and Project Support: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and cost reduction projects.
Position Profile
• Education: Bachelor’s degree.
• Field of Study: Industrial Engineering, International Business, Business Administration, or related field.
• Experience:
◦ Minimum 2 years in electronic component purchasing, demand planning, or supplier negotiation.
◦ At least 1 year of experience in NPI projects.
