Job Overview

The Strategic Sourcing Analyst III is responsible for driving strategic sourcing initiatives, supplier development, and cost reduction programs to support business growth and operational excellence. This role leads supplier qualification, sourcing strategies, commercial negotiations, and supplier performance management while ensuring the highest standards of quality, cost, and delivery. The position works closely with Engineering, Quality, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to support new product introductions, optimize supplier capabilities, mitigate sourcing risks, and deliver sustainable value across the organization through data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers to support business requirements and long-term commodity strategies.
• Conduct supplier audits and technical assessments to ensure compliance with quality, cost, delivery, and operational standards.
• Lead supplier development initiatives to improve supplier capability, performance, and overall supply chain resilience.
• Manage RFQ activities for NPI and sustaining programs, ensuring alignment with business objectives and project timelines.
• Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and supply agreements to achieve cost reduction targets and favorable business outcomes.
• Prepare, review, and maintain supplier contracts while mitigating commercial, operational, and legal risks.
• Collaborate with SQE and Quality teams to resolve supplier quality issues, drive corrective actions, and improve supplier performance.
• Support supplier qualification processes, including FAIR documentation, new component validation, and production readiness activities.
• Perform cost analysis, market intelligence research, supplier benchmarking, and sourcing risk assessments to support decision-making.
• Develop and present supplier performance scorecards, dashboards, and data-driven reports to management and key stakeholders.
• Partner with Engineering, Operations, and Program teams to support VA/VE initiatives, cost reduction projects, and successful product launches.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and achieve key KPIs related to cost savings, supplier quality, delivery performance, dual sourcing, and supplier compliance programs.

What your background should look like

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 5-10 years of experience in Strategic Sourcing, Commodity Management, Procurement, Supplier Development, or Supplier Quality within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in PCB/ cable sourcing is preferred.
• Experience and knowledge of metal molding and stamping processes are preferred.
• Proven experience in supplier qualification, supplier audits, supplier performance management, and supplier development activities.
• Strong sourcing and procurement expertise with hands-on experience managing RFQs, supplier selection, and contract negotiations.
• Demonstrated track record of delivering cost reduction, cost avoidance, and supplier consolidation initiatives.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, mechanical components, engineering drawings, and product development lifecycle.
• Knowledge of Supplier Quality processes, including supplier audits, corrective actions, PPAP, APQP, FAIR, and quality improvement methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience conducting cost analysis, spend analysis, and supplier performance evaluations.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint, with the ability to develop dashboards and present data-driven insights.
• Strong project management and stakeholder management capabilities, with experience working in cross-functional environments.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
• Fluent in both English and Thai, with the ability to effectively communicate technical and business information.
