We are seeking a Strategic Sourcing Analyst / Buyer – Direct Materials to join the Procurement Team on a temporary basis. This position will be responsible for supporting sourcing strategies, supplier negotiations, and supplier management activities to ensure continuity of supply, optimize costs, and contribute to achieving business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned categories and suppliers, including market analysis, supplier evaluation, and cost monitoring.
  • Track raw material and relevant market trends to identify risks and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Conduct cost analysis, price breakdowns, and financial evaluations to support strategic negotiations.
  • Participate in RFQ processes, proposal analysis, and supplier selection activities.
  • Ensure the timely supply of materials through effective supplier base management.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to cost savings, quality, delivery performance, and supply risk.
  • Evaluate supplier performance in terms of quality, compliance, and operational capabilities.
  • Ensure compliance with contracts and commercial agreements within assigned categories.
  • Support the development and implementation of regional sourcing strategies aligned with global business objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and regional stakeholders to drive continuous improvement and productivity initiatives.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Administration, Engineering, International Trade, Supply Chain, or a related field.
    • Technical education is acceptable for this role
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in Purchasing, Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Category Management, or Supply Chain.
  • Experience in data-driven negotiations, supplier management, and contract administration.
  • Knowledge of cost analysis, RFQs, market analysis, materials, and economic trends.
  • Previous experience in industries related to metals, plastics, resins, or manufactured components is preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and effectively follow through on action plans.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with SAP or procurement ERP systems is preferred.
  • Intermediate-advanced to advanced English proficiency.
  • Strong analytical, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to make sound decisions and solve problems effectively.
