Job Description



The procurement supervisor plays a critical role in managing the procurement process within the Corporate Procurement Division. They are responsible for conducting procurement activities, evaluating vendors, negotiating contracts, managing supplier performance, maintaining records, collaborating with internal stakeholders, conducting market research, ensuring compliance, and contributing to policy development.

Responsibilities:

  • Source, evaluate, and qualify suppliers of mechanical equipment, spare parts, and related services.
  • Maintain and develop vendor relationships to ensure competitive pricing and reliable supply.
  • Review and analyze purchase requisitions for mechanical-related items.
  • Prepare and issue RFQs, evaluate bids, negotiate prices, and place purchase orders in line with technical specifications and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with mechanical engineers and maintenance teams to clarify technical requirements and resolve ambiguities with suppliers or internal stakeholders.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or performance.
  • Maintain accurate purchasing records, contracts, and supplier performance data.
  • Address delivery delays, quality issues, and other supplier-related problems, coordinating corrective actions as needed.
  • Responsible for SLA development, category and supplier portfolio management, and SKU rationalization.

 Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 1–3 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management, preferably in the mechanical equipment or manufacturing sector.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical equipment, spare parts, and technical specifications
  • Understands mechanical components, technical drawings, specifications, and industrial standards.
  • Understands commercial terms (e.g., Incoterms, payment terms) and basic legal aspects of procurement contracts.
  • Experience in vendor evaluation, price negotiation, and contract management.
  • Good understanding of procurement processes, policies, and compliance requirements.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems (e.g., SAP).
  • Good command of English, both written and spoken.
