Develops and executes global and regional sourcing strategies that significantly impact the business. Manages a supply base within assigned categories, supporting various business units on productivity, supply chain, and product development initiatives. Finds and qualifies new suppliers, negotiates commercial terms, drives and influences supplier performance, and resolves open issues. Works cross-functionally to influence leaders and internal customers to drive and execute broad business decisions.

The Sourcing Manager leads global and regional sourcing strategies that drive business growth, strengthen the supply chain, and support new product development. This role manages high-performing supplier partnerships, identifies and qualifies new suppliers, negotiates commercial agreements, and drives supplier performance and accountability.

Working cross-functionally, the Sourcing Manager influences key business decisions, partners with internal leaders, and delivers impactful solutions across productivity, sourcing, and operational initiatives. This individual also serves as a trusted subject matter expert, helping develop end-to-end supply chain capabilities while mentoring sourcing team members in negotiation, sourcing strategies, and best practices.

What You Will Do

  • Develop sourcing strategies for complex commodities that drive business growth, cost savings, and supply chain performance.
  • Identify, assess, and manage supplier relationships while supporting supplier rationalization and risk mitigation initiatives.
  • Lead commercial activities including contract management, RFPs, supplier negotiations, product qualification, and regulatory compliance.
  • Drive productivity and cost-reduction initiatives while ensuring quality, delivery, and service expectations are achieved at the lowest total cost.
  • Partner cross-functionally to support new product development, supplier manufacturing readiness, and Design for Manufacturing (DFM) initiatives.
  • Monitor commodity markets, support annual budgeting, and provide strategic insights on material availability and sourcing opportunities.
  • Influence sourcing, negotiation, and contracting decisions for global and regional projects with a strong focus on integrity and business impact.
  • Improve supplier performance through scorecards, supplier development plans, and long-term strategic partnerships focused on quality, cost, lead time, and service improvements.
  • Support supply chain optimization initiatives including inventory reduction, lead time improvements, spend management, ROI tracking, and operational efficiency.
  • Lead projects to achieve sourcing goals, deliver cost savings, and ensure successful on-time product launches.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance across sourcing systems, processes, and purchasing procedures, including Oracle vendor and item management.
  • Mentor and support sourcing team members in sourcing strategies, negotiation techniques, and best practice procurement methodologies.

What You Will Bring

  • Education: BBA/BSBA Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or Operations Management Concentration. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Certificates: CPIM/CPM/CSCP/APICS certification preferred or commitment to achieve.
  • Experience 7+ years in sourcing, purchasing, manufacturing, engineering, or supply chain. Sourcing experience in manufacturing, power, or electronics finished goods required. Global sourcing experience in Power and Electronic Products a strong plus.
  • Knowledge Understanding of supply chain concepts (e.g. global sourcing, planning & inventory), ability to make and support business decisions, and familiarity with cost reduction strategies.
  • Skills Strong negotiation, supplier relationship building, project management, critical thinking, and communication skills.
  • Systems Experience using ERPs (like SAP or Oracle) and Microsoft Office.
  • Work Environment Ability to work in fast-paced, multicultural business environment while managing multiple priorities under pressure.
  • Travel Ability to travel up to 25%.

Compensation The expected annual base salary range for this role is $110,000 - $140,000. This role qualifies for an incentive plan based on individual and company performance. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
