Together with the team members manage the sourcing and cost development of the North American component portfolio with a focus on total cost.
Performing and supporting Group RFQs.
Enhance supplier base agreement coverage with terms and conditions.
Drive performance to meet Sourcing Category targets by monitoring and reporting out critical supplier KPI’s and take appropriate actions to reward / penalize as needed
Establish the US Sourcing Area strategy – aligned with global one and lead the implementation of the strategy for each sourcing category.
Responsible for the region’s supply base capability and supplier roadmap. New supplier introduction, develop suppliers, and supplier phase out.
Support tactical sourcing with escalations for delivery, price, and quality.
Act as accountable team representative between sites and the Category team.
Monitor market and technology trends and if required act upon them.
Initiating and Leading Group RFQs. Decide about awarding business to suppliers in Group RFQs and transfer business between suppliers.
Lead towards KPI targets.
Lead the strategic work.
Decide about phasing out suppliers. Decide about moving suppliers between the different levels in the pyramid. To award supplier preferred status requires approval from the Sourcing Director.
