Make an Impact
We are seeking a highly experienced Japanese speaking Sourcing Specialist to liaise with Watch movement suppliers. This role is critical to navigating the current challenges in the movement industry, including supply disruptions and shifting market dynamics. This position will be reported directly to the Supply Chain leadership in Hong Kong and will be responsible for ensuring supply continuity and maintaining strong supplier partnerships.

What you will do in this role
Supplier Communication: Act as the point of contact for key Japanese movement suppliers to foster long-term partnerships and resolve operational bottlenecks.
Strategic Negotiation: Support the Sourcing team for negotiations regarding pricing, terms, and supply agreements to mitigate the business impacts and ensure favorable conditions for the Group.
Cost Monitoring & Analysis: Support the Sourcing team monitor raw material cost fluctuations to manage movement costs effectively.
Forecasting & Supply Chain Alignment: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage Watch movement complexity and support the 6- to 12-month finished goods forecast process.
Market Intelligence: Stay abreast of changing industry dynamics and competitor movements to provide actionable insights for internal leadership.

Who You Are
Experience: Minimum 15 years of experience in watch sourcing, product development or watch production. Experience specifically within a watch movement company is highly preferred.
Education: University degree required.
Language Proficiency: Fluent in both Japanese and English (both written and verbal) to facilitate communication and supplier partnership.
Professional Attributes:
• Proven ability to work effectively under high pressure and manage tight deadlines.

• Demonstrated willingness to work overtime as required by business cycles or urgent supply chain needs.

• Flexibility for occasional international travel to meet with suppliers and internal teams.
