British American Tobacco Nigeria has an exciting opportunity for a Sourcing Executive in Lagos.

LEVEL: Junior Management

REPORTS TO: Procurement Business Manager, Sub-Saharan Africa

This role is responsible for managing procurement sourcing activities for Nigeria, while supporting selected Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) markets when required. The successful candidate will partner with business collaborators to deliver value through strategic sourcing, supplier management, cost optimization, risk mitigation, and procurement compliance, ensuring business objectives are achieved while maintaining supply continuity.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Leading sourcing and procurement activities for Nigeria and supporting SSA markets where applicable.
• Building strong relationships with business stakeholders to understand requirements and provide procurement solutions.
• Driving sourcing strategies, supplier selection processes, and commercial negotiations.
• Managing supplier performance, risk, innovation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensuring compliance with BAT procurement policies, governance requirements, and contractual obligations.
• Supporting cost-saving, value creation, and supply assurance initiatives.
• Providing procurement market intelligence and commercial insights to support business decisions.
• Collaborating with regional and global procurement teams to implement category strategies.

What are we looking for?

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, or related field.
• Experience in Procurement, Sourcing, Supply Chain, or Category Management, preferably within the FMCG industry
• 3-6 years of relevant experience
• Strong negotiation, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
• Commercial savvy with the ability to analyze market and supplier data.
• Experience managing sourcing projects and supplier relationships.
• Knowledge of procurement governance, contracting, and risk management processes.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
• SAP or Coupa knowledge – added advantage
