Molex is looking for an Engineer, Sourcing to support sourcing implementation for direct materials within the CCS division. This role will work closely with internal stakeholders, division category management, plant teams, and suppliers to support sourcing activities, supplier development, cost improvement, and procurement effectiveness.
Our Team
You will be part of the MXV Regional Category Management / Sourcing team, supporting direct material sourcing activities for Molex Vietnam. The team partners closely with division category management, plant functions, suppliers, customers, Molex entities, and other related sections to drive sourcing performance and business needs.
What You Will Do
1. Execute Daily Sourcing Activities:
- Manage open requisitions for responsible goods and services.
- Lead the procurement process in collaboration with internal stakeholders to satisfy business requirements.
- Proactively introduce ideas and actions to enhance sourcing efficiency and effectiveness.
2.Technical Understanding & Cost Improvement:
- Acquire and maintain technical knowledge related to procurement, supplier base, and product cost elements.
- Seek opportunities for cost improvement through vendor consolidation, volume leveraging, and negotiation.
3. Supplier Management & Negotiation:
- Lead supplier recruitment, evaluation, and selection using market sourcing and complex commercial contract negotiations.
- Engage with Global Category Management for supplier negotiations and contract development.
4. Compliance & Relationship Maintenance:
- Ensure adherence to contractual obligations, sourcing policies, and preferred supplier arrangements.
- Handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
- Maintain ongoing supplier relationships through regular Supplier Business Reviews.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- At least 4 years of experience in procurement.
- Good knowledge of manufacturing processes, procurement processes, and sourcing processes.
- Good English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work with procedures, processes, standards, and work instructions.
- Knowledge of international and local laws, ISO, CSR, and RBA requirements.
- Good understanding of the supplier base in and around Vietnam.
- Strong planning, problem-solving, training, coaching, leadership, Kaizen, and innovation skills.
What Will Put You Ahead
- Experience in sourcing within the electronics or electrical manufacturing industry.
- Experience leading cross-functional projects and driving collaboration across multiple teams and stakeholders.
- Good interpersonal skills and strong analytical capability.
- Good understanding of contract agreements.
