Job Description

To apply for this role, candidates must have an in-depth understanding of, and proven experience in, consultancy services; revenue-generating scopes such as direct sales agencies and debt collection; HR services; and banking operations, including cash management, courier services, valuation services, subscriptions, and related services.

The Sourcing Manager (reporting to the Business Sourcing Senior Manager) is responsible for Emirates NBD Group sourcing requirement including international. The Sourcing Manager will be executing strategic sourcing initiatives for specific categories to drive cost efficiencies, supplier performance, and category management excellence. This role focuses on managing vendor relationships, negotiating favourable terms, and ensuring compliance with sourcing policies and regulations. The Manager also optimizes sourcing operations and delivers value through supplier relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leads the vendor selection and negotiation process; establishes and maintains contractual and business relationships with the vendors; monitors contract compliance Drive negotiations with individual vendors to ensure cost savings objectives while maintaining supply quality

  • Drive annual productivity improvements in each spend category. Develop, champion, and ensure implementation of ideas that will optimize Company's total cost year-over year for assigned spend categories

  • Ensure strategies are implemented and reductions secured according to implementation plans. Contract compliance will be actively monitored by the Sourcing Manager and when required, the Sourcing Manager will work with business unit leadership to address noncompliance issues

  • Identifying and communicating new technologies and solutions to Company's key problems in the assigned spend areas. Be the first line of contact with suppliers

  • Work with the Vendor Performance Management team to monitor existing supplier performance and provide regular reports on the overall performance of supplier portfolio. Work with underperforming suppliers to improve performance and flag high risk suppliers to management.

  • The Strategic Sourcing Manager will work with int/ext stakeholders to ensure key project deliverables and timelines for Projects are met.

  • Manage the internal stakeholders on three levels : Strategic, Tactical and operational advisory.

  • Manage directly Senior internal stakeholders EVPs, VPs…)

  • Knowledge and expertise of the category is a must

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • CIPS level 3 , Level 4 or higher preferred

  • Successful, multi-year track record in a sourcing organization is an advantage.

  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in category management.

  • Technical skills: problem-solving and analytical skills, negotiations skills, clear understanding of S2C cycle and drivers of costs savings / efficiency.

  • Managerial skills: project management, negotiating skills, organized and detail oriented, quick learner.
