
Job Designation: Electrician cum Sound Operator
Responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting audio-visual and electrical systems in classrooms, seminar halls, and auditoriums. Ensures smooth functioning of sound systems, projectors, lighting, and related equipment, while providing technical support for events and academic activities. Performs preventive maintenance, manages AV inventory, ensures compliance with safety standards, and reports daily operations to the Maintenance Head.

Educational Qualification
Diploma/Certification in Sound Engineering, Audio-Visual Technology, or equivalent. Basic knowledge of electrician is required.
Professional Certifications
Certification in Sound Engineering, Audio-Visual Technology, Electrical Maintenance, or related technical field (preferred).
Professional Experience
Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience in operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting sound systems, PA systems, projectors, lighting, and other audio-visual equipment. Experience in providing technical support for events, auditorium maintenance, and basic electrical repairs.
Skills and Competencies
Hands-on experience in managing sound systems, PA systems, and AV equipment.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in technical operations.
Knowledge of auditorium maintenance including lighting, wiring, and fixtures.
Ability to work under pressure during live events and ensure seamless delivery.
Good communication and coordination skills with staff and event teams.
Maintain and support Sound issues related to Mic, speakers, amplifiers and any other A/V related equipment’s, in the classrooms.
Report the day-to-day functions/operations to Maintenance head.
