About the Role & Team

As a Sound Designer, you will be responsible for the end-to-end audio postproduction process for Disney's Kids Hub across Europe and Africa. Working across multiple languages and territories, you will create, edit, mix, manage, and deliver high-quality audio assets that bring campaigns and programming to life while maintaining the highest creative and technical standards.

Based within the Spain Creative Services team and reporting to the Manager Creative, Kids Hub, you will partner closely with Editorial, Creative, Production, and external audio suppliers.

You’ll join a team grounded in our Disney values — acting with Integrity, welcoming everyone through Inclusion, embracing boundless Creativity, working together through Collaboration and caring deeply for our Community. These values shape how we work and how we support one another every day.

This role will be based in our Madrid office. This is a part-time position, working 30 hours per week.

What You Will Do

  • You will independently manage end-to-end audio postproduction for assigned projects, from initial sound concept through final delivery, while solving a range of technical and creative problems

  • Prototype sound concepts to illustrate creative goals for campaigns and promotions, collaborating closely with producers, editors, and other creative partners

  • Perform detailed sound editing and mixing, including noise reduction, level balancing, application of sound effects, and precise synchronization to picture

  • Oversee the quality and progress of audio editing, supervising all required elements before delivery to broadcast or final publishing platforms

  • Manage audio assets and suppliers, ensuring all materials meet technical specifications, official sound standards, and creative briefs

  • Troubleshoot software and hardware issues and propose creative solutions to achieve specific sound results or address feedback from the creative team

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Degree in Audio, Sound Recording, Music, Media Production, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience

  • A link to a portfolio or showreel showcasing audio postproduction, sound design, editing, and mixing work is required. Please include this with your application for consideration

  • Significant professional experience in audio postproduction, sound design, or audio production, preferably within television, broadcast, media, or entertainment environments

  • Experience working with or maintaining a professional audio studio setup, including monitoring systems and recording hardware

  • Professional proficiency in English and Spanish

  • Strong sound design, audio editing, and mixing skills, with proficiency in industry-standard tools such as Pro Tools, EUCON, DADman, and Dante Controller

  • Knowledge of television and media production workflows, including creating and conforming audio to picture, managing sound assets, applying broadcast audio standards and best practices, and navigating local audio production markets and supplier networks
