Sorter / Production Worker

Location: Gibson Island
Shifts: Set day shift (4.30am to 12.30pm Monday to Friday). Afternoon and night shifts may also be available

Casual position with potential to go permanent

Join one of Australia’s leading recycling operations and take on a key role in keeping our Gibson Island facility running safely, efficiently, and sustainably.

We’re seeking a reliable and safety‑focused Sorter/Production Worker to support daily operations across our Material Recovery Facility (MRF), Plastics Recovery Facility (PRF), and Fibre Recovery Facility (FRF). You’ll play an essential part in sorting and processing recyclable materials such as glass, paper, steel, and aluminium — helping ensure valuable resources are recovered and kept out of landfill.

What You’ll Do

• Sort recyclable materials on conveyors and in designated processing areas
• Identify and remove contaminants to maintain product quality
• Follow all safety, housekeeping, and production procedures
• Assist with general labouring and yard duties as required
• Work closely with the team to achieve daily targets and continuous improvement

About You

• A reliable and keen team player with a can-do attitude – full training will be provided
• Safety‑conscious and comfortable working in a fast‑paced industrial setting
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work on your feet
• Good communication skills – able to talk with colleagues, superviosrs
• Previous waste/recycling experience highly regarded but not essential
