About the Role:

As a Package Sorter at our Delivery Station located in Pemulwuy, you will play a critical role in ensuring parcels move efficiently through our station and onto the next stage of the delivery journey. This role supports both our delivery station and middle mile operations, helping to maintain smooth freight flow from trailer unload through to final staging for delivery or linehaul teams.

You will work alongside a team to unload trailers, verify freight against manifests, scan and label packages, and sort parcels accurately by route number and sort plan. You will also support freight movement using manual and powered conveyors, power/manual jacks, and handheld technology to ensure every package is handled safely, efficiently, and accurately.

From receiving inbound freight to preparing outbound loads, your attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment will help ensure on-time deliveries and operational success.

Schedule: 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday.

Requirements and Responsibilities:

• Thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with a strong focus on safety and efficiency.

• Previous experience in a delivery station, warehouse, or logistics environment is preferred.

• Ability to lift up to 20kgs and remain on your feet for extended periods (up to 4 hours).

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure.

• Unload trailers and verify freight against manifests.

• Move freight manually and via powered conveyors to support inbound processing.

• Use power and manual jacks to organise shipments, receive freight, and feed sort lines (training and certification provided).

• Set up and maintain sort operations in accordance with the daily sort plan.

• Sort, scan, label, and handle parcels using handheld devices and operational technology.

• Build, wrap, move, and stage pallets and packages for delivery and linehaul teams across hub and middle mile operations.

• Validate sorted freight to improve accuracy and minimise mis-sorts.

• Maintain cleanliness, housekeeping, and complete routine safety checks.

• Support supervisors with additional operational tasks and other duties as required.
