Job Description

Work Schedule Part-time, 76 hours per pay period.
Hours: 6–8 hours between 7:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m., plus one weekly evening shift (11:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m.)
Shared call (Fridays 5:00pm-8:00pm, Saturdays & Sundays 7:30am-5:00pm) w/seven other sonographers.

Relocation assistance is available and will be discussed at time of offer.

The Sonographer is involved with the day-to-day Ultrasound Department operations located within Diagnostic Imaging. The sonographer requires minimal supervision, performs diagnostic medical sonograms, provides quality patient care, and assumes responsibility for all ultrasound services offered. This position works closely and communicates effectively with patients, coworkers, lead sonographer, manager, Radiologists, providers, and all other clinic staff to ensure the highest quality of care to our patients. The employee will assist the Ultrasound Manager in meeting goals and objectives that are set forth by the Mankato Clinic’s Board of Directors and Administration.

Education and Experience Required:

Degree from a school in Diagnostic Medical Sonography accredited through the Joint Review Committee on Diagnostic Medical Sonography (JRCDMS) and the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) OR current certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) AND completion of a certificate Sonography program accredited through the JRCDMS and CAAHEP.

  • Current active certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) in Abdomen and OB/Gyn specialties and in good standing with CME requirements, ORregistry eligible and successful completion of the ARDMS Physics, Abdomen, and OB/Gyn board exams within first 6 months of employment.
  • Current active certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) in Vascular Technology and in good standing with CME requirement, ORregistry eligible and successful completion of the ARDMS Vascular Technology (RVT) board exam within first year of employment.
  • Current BLS certification required or obtained within 90 days of start date.
  • Excellent communication skills required.

Employment is contingent on successful completion of drug screening, health assessment, and background check.

Benefits & Compensation:

Base Pay Range: $ 00.00-$00.50 based on certifications

Evening shift differential & on-call pay. Initial pay based on relevant work experience.

Our clinic environment offers primarily daytime, weekday schedules, helping employees maintain consistency in their daily routines. All employees scheduled 60-80 hours per pay period are eligible for full benefits.
