Under the direction of the Sonographer Coordinator, performs with minimal supervision a diversity of technical ultrasound assignments, diagnostic and complex in nature, which require theoretical insight and experience. Exercise complex skill, judgment and knowledge of the principles and methods of the radiographic technical field.
Qualifications
EDUCATION: Completion of training at an approved school in Ultrasound. Preferred: Registered specialist (ultrasound one year additional training at AMA approved school in ultrasound).
LICENSE: PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS:Minimum: BLS required through the RQI system Preferred: ARDMS within one year of hire
WORK EXPERIENCE: Preferred: Three years of varied ultrasound technology experience.
SKILLS: Minimum: Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and ability to deal with the public in a professional and courteous manner. Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities and enhance the spirit of teamwork through effective role modeling. Computer literacy required.
