Job Description

We are looking for a Solutions Engineering Team Lead to build and lead a team of engineers responsible for delivering high-impact solutions for strategic customers. This role bridges engineering, product, and customer-facing work, ensuring customers receive tailored implementations that solve real problems today—while guiding the evolution of these solutions into scalable, repeatable products for tomorrow.

This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong technical depth, customer-facing skills, and the ability to translate business needs into scalable solutions. The team is part of the R&D. department.

Responsibilities

Technical Expertise

  • Act as a hands-on contributor - contributing code and opening PRs, designing architecture, reviewing code, and solving complex technical issues.
  • Deeply understand our product, APIs, architecture, and integrations.
  • Ensure solutions comply with security, performance, and reliability standards.

Customer Solutions Delivery

  • Lead the design, development, and delivery of solutions tailored to specific customer needs.
  • Collaborate closely with customers to understand their challenges, use cases, and technical requirements. Both pre and post-sale.
  • Ensure ongoing great maintenance of existing solutions - including managing an efficient on-call escalation process and solving customer issues quickly
  • Ensure solutions are delivered on time, with high quality and high customer satisfaction.

Productization & Scalability

  • Identify reusable components and opportunities for scaling custom solutions into product features.
  • Partner with Product and R&D to transition frequently requested or repeatable solutions into the core platform.

Team Leadership & Execution

  • Build, mentor, and lead a team of software engineers.
  • Establish strong execution processes, prioritization, and delivery frameworks.
  • Drive a culture of ownership, accountability, and urgency within the team.
  • Ensure the team follows engineering best practices and maintains high standards

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Customer Success to ensure alignment on priorities and customer outcomes.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in software engineering /solutions Engineering, Professional Services, or similar customer-facing technical roles.
  • 2+ years in a leading engineering team.
  • Strong hands-on experience in Python; workflow orchestration (Airflow, Flyte, aws step), K8s, SQL and NoSQL databases and data warehouses.
  • Proven experience building large-scale data infrastructure, customer data platforms, and large-scale streaming pipelines.
  • Experience with modern data and cloud tooling such as Spark, Snowflake, AWS, GCS, Kafka, and Grafana.
  • Ability to bridge customer needs with scalable technology design.
  • Experience designing and implementing customer-specific solutions or integrations.
  • Proven ability to work directly with customers in technical discussions.
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguous environments with evolving requirements.
  • Strong product mindset—constantly looking for opportunities to generalize and productize solutions.
  • Excellent prioritization, project management, and execution skills
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
