Embedded within Integra’s manufacturing operations (Akron, Harrow, Houston, etc.), this role provides full lifecycle technical leadership—from equipment build and testing to field commissioning, troubleshooting, and ongoing service performance.

As the organization’s senior generator specialist, this role delivers Level 2 (L2) technical support, leads complex diagnostics, performs root-cause analysis, trains technicians, and supports customer and vendor engagements. The Solutions Manager improves system reliability, enhances field capability, and ensures that Integra’s generator assets meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and operational performance.

What you will do?

Factory Integration & Technical Leadership

· Provide engineering and manufacturing teams with actionable insights on recurring issues, quality concerns, and product improvement opportunities.

Generator System Support & Troubleshooting

· Lead advanced diagnostics for mechanical, electrical, fuel, and control system failures.

· Conduct root-cause analysis to resolve operational failures, abnormal equipment behavior, and performance issues.

· Perform or supervise complex corrective repairs, commissioning recovery, and emergency support for mission-critical generator systems.

· Execute and interpret load bank testing to verify capacity, stability, and operational performance.

Remote Technical Support (L2)

· Serve as the primary L2 escalation resource for the Field Service team.

· Provide remote troubleshooting using schematics, system data, and live technical consultation.

· Develop troubleshooting guides, standards, and knowledgebase content for field technicians.

Training & Technician Development

· Deliver factory and field-based generator training covering operation, maintenance, safety, diagnostics, and hands-on systems work.

· Evaluate technician competency and reinforce best practices through ongoing coaching and site visits.

· Continuously improve technical training programs by integrating lessons learned, updated procedures, and emerging technologies.

Customer, Vendor & Internal Stakeholder Engagement

· Represent Field Service during high-complexity technical calls with customers and vendors.

· Communicate diagnostic findings, repair strategies, long-term maintenance recommendations, and system behaviors with professionalism and clarity.

· Collaborate with engineering, QA, and manufacturing teams to address systemic issues and enhance product reliability.

Recruiting, Onboarding & Team Development

· Support interviews and technical evaluations for Field Service Technician candidates.

· Assist with onboarding, skills assessments, and reinforcement of Integra’s safety and quality expectations.

Operational Excellence & Safety

· Maintain accurate service records, logs, documentation, and parts usage history.

· Adhere to NFPA, NEC, OSHA, and all applicable safety protocols.

· Participate in on-call rotations for emergency generator support.

· Ensure tools, equipment, test devices, and vehicles are properly maintained and calibrated.

Perform other duties as assigned to support operational and organizational objectives.
