Solutions Engineer

We're representing a fast-growing technology company that is building a unified API platform to connect and standardize data across the construction software ecosystem. Their platform integrates with leading tools, providing developers with a reliable interface to access project management, financial, and bidding data across major construction platforms. This company is at the forefront of addressing the fragmentation in the construction industry, empowering development teams to create powerful integrations without the burden of managing multiple individual APIs.

What You Will Do

• Collaborate with Account Executives to advance deals by offering deep technical insights during the sales process.
• Conduct technical discovery sessions to assess prospects' software stacks, integration needs, and data requirements.
• Deliver tailored product demonstrations that showcase relevant integrations with platforms like Procore and QuickBooks Online.
• Address technical inquiries, security reviews, and RFP/RFI requests from potential customers.
• Create and present proof-of-concept integrations that illustrate the benefits of the unified API in practical scenarios.
• Serve as a trusted technical advisor, guiding customers on architecture decisions and best practices for API implementation.
• Work with Product and Engineering teams to relay customer feedback and influence the product roadmap.

Ideal Candidate Background

• Proven experience in a Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, or Technical Pre-Sales role, preferably in developer tools, API, or SaaS environments.
• Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, webhooks, and authentication protocols such as OAuth and API keys.
• Proficiency in coding with at least one common language (e.g., Python, JavaScript) to support demonstrations and proof-of-concept builds.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of simplifying complex technical concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience managing technical evaluations and supporting enterprise or mid-market sales cycles.

Preferred

• Familiarity with the construction technology landscape, including platforms like Procore and Autodesk BIM 360.
• Previous experience working with developer-focused or API-centric products.
