Business Unit Overview
Our Product unit guides every step of the lifecycle of our products. They are responsible for the product development and positioning of our products, through a focus on our own capability balanced with market demand. Ultimately, the unit is charged with building the best possible product as an output of customer advocacy, the voice of our market and optimisation of our own capability.
Role Purpose
Solutions Consultants are responsible for solution design to drive new business and cultivate relationships with potential and existing customers, creating new sales opportunities. Solutions Consultants are customer-facing and work closely with Sales teams and customers to explore customer requirements, design appropriate technical solutions, and “sell” those solutions to customers.
This role would suit someone looking to progress into a Solutions Consultant role or potentially a team lead role as the team expands.
Key Responsibilities
Manage assigned pre-sales cases to provide design, capacity checks, and cost guidance to various internal teams.
Provide network diagrams that clearly demonstrate the design, scope, and implementation steps involved in each case.
Access third-party portals to pre-qualify sites for third-party access, such as NBN, Telstra, and Vocus.
Collaborate with the Sales team to scope and define technical solutions in response to customer opportunities and requirements.
Attend virtual customer meetings to gather customer requirements, present solutions, and promote the Superloop network alongside the Sales team.
Develop, design, document, and deliver scopes of work, hour/cost estimates, and professional proposals that meet customer requirements.
Develop and maintain a thorough and up-to-date understanding of the Superloop product range, including functionality and applicability.
Conduct research into emerging technologies, trends, standards, and products.
Liaise and collaborate with Delivery/Provisioning teams to ensure seamless implementation of developed solutions.
Scope and design managed service solutions based on the Superloop managed services product set, including Palo Alto, Fortinet, and Cisco technologies.
Qualifications and Experience
Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field (desirable).
Experience with routing, switching, WAN/LAN, internet, and Wi-Fi technologies (required).
Experience with network security, SD-WAN, SASE, firewalls, and cloud connectivity (desirable).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to empathise and tailor language to suit the audience (required).
Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to create impactful diagrams and visual representations (required).
Ability to prioritise and execute plans in a fast-paced environment (desirable).
A positive, team-oriented, and collaborative approach.
Exceptional customer service, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills.
Demonstrated understanding of the Australian telecommunications market, including major provider networks, products, and services, is advantageous (required).
Willingness to learn, upskill, and grow within the role.
