We are looking for a Solutions Architect (Metering) to join our Solutions Business Center team, based in in Shah Alam, Malaysia, covering the Asia Pacific (APAC) region, including China and India.

What is the role about?

As a Solutions Architect, you will play a critical role in designing and delivering customized metering and process automation solutions that support our strategic objectives. You act as a key technical authority throughout the acquisition and delivery phases, ensuring customer requirements are translated into scalable, commercially viable, and technically robust solutions.

Working closely with Marketing, Business Management, Solutions Pursuit, Sales, and Fulfillment you will ensure seamless integration of customer needs with our capabilities.

Which tasks will you perform?

You will:

  • Actively involved in the acquisition phase, engaging with customers to thoroughly understand their requirements
  • Design and develop scalable, technically robust, and commercially viable solutions that support both customer needs and long-term business growth
  • Align customer objectives with Endress+Hauser’s value propositions, ensuring high-quality outcomes and sustainable outcomes
  • Collaborate with Sales & Engineering, Production, and regional teams and customers to define solution requirements and develop proposals that meet technical, financial, and strategic objectives
  • Architect and document solutions using Endress+Hauser’s Solutions portfolio, based on the assigned Solutions and application areas.
  • Support system modernization, including legacy system migration and integration of new technologies as appropriate, considering Endress+Hauser’s digital offering (e.g. Netilion)
  • Deliver technical presentations, demonstrations, and training to support solution sales and customer engagement
  • Review solution proposals in collaboration with regional teams and project tendering functions
  • Support technical handover and collaboration with local service and project teams during implementation, execution of engineering, commissioning, and maintenance preparation
  • Act as the primary design authority, taking ownership of key design decisions throughout the implementation phase
  • Maintain close collaboration with Portfolio Management and Product Centers to support solution development and continuous improvement
  • Track and report activities using internal systems and contribute to achieving KPIs and sales target

What do we expect from you?​

You have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Control Engineering, or related field. Additional training in technology, automation and business management is an advantage.
  • 10+ years of experience in the instrumentation or automation industry, preferably with metering or custody transfer system
  • Strong technical expertise in process automation, instrumentation, and industrial communication
  • Ability to design and articulate complex technical solutions in a clear and customer-focused manner
  • Proficient in solution development tools and platforms, including cloud-based Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT)
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Strong understanding of business operations and strategic planning across various industries
  • Ability to work collaboratively across functions and manage multiple priorities
  • Willingness to travel as required
  • Very good command of English
