Job Description

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Solutions Architect to partner with the world's leading Telecommunications companies on their most ambitious cloud transformation journeys.
The problem domains are diverse: Enterprise IT Modernization, Data and GenAI, Cybersecurity, 5G monetization, digital customer journeys, OSS/BSS transformation, cybersecurity. At your disposal is the breadth of AWS.
You will leverage the full breadth of AWS services—including AI/ML, edge computing, IoT, and advanced analytics—to craft solutions that address real telecommunications challenges.

Key job responsibilities
As part of the team, you will collaborate with customers, internal AWS teams, and AWS partners to deliver solutions to the unique challenges of information and operational technology in telecom customers.
You will be the single-threaded owner of the AWS technology strategy for your customer and account team to drive AWS adoption. The ability to connect technology with measurable business value while assessing risks, balancing trade-offs, and encouraging risk-tasking to maximize your customer's business value of AWS is critical to a solutions architect. You should also have a demonstrated ability to think long-term about business, product, and technical outcomes.

A day in the life
Understand customer business objectives and design solutions that are cost-effective, secure, and sustainable to deliver.
Work closely with other functions (Account Managers, Partners, Support) to delight our customers.
Build and publish external facing content.

Basic Qualifications


- Knowledge of software development tools and methodologies
- Speak, write, and read fluently in English
- Background in any of the following: Cloud Architecture, Systems Design, Software Development, Infrastructure Architecture, Data Engineering or DevOps.
- Experience and literacy in GenAI.
- Technical Degree (Computer Science, Maths, Engineering or equivalent) and/or relevant tech experience.
- A passion for technology and for learning.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries
- Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud
- Experience working with AWS technologies from a dev/ops perspective
