We are hiring a Solutions Architect to work with Enterprise and Strategic customers in central Saudi Arabia, based in Riyadh. Saudi Arabia is one of the fastest-growing cloud markets in the Middle East, fuelled by Vision 2030 and ambitious national digital transformation programmes across government, healthcare, aviation, retail, and financial services. This role is central to AWS's growth strategy in the Kingdom — you will serve as a key technical advisor for a portfolio of enterprise customers, helping them modernise legacy platforms, adopt AI and cloud-native architectures, and accelerate their digital agendas.
Solutions Architects engage with customers to understand their business drivers, assess application portfolios, and design reliable, cost-effective cloud-native architectures. As a Solutions Architect, you will partner with Account Managers, Business Development representatives, Professional Services, Specialist SAs, and AWS Service Teams to create solutions that address business problems and accelerate the adoption of AWS services. You will also contribute to competitive displacement engagements, helping customers migrate workloads to AWS.
You should enjoy thinking strategically about business, products, and technical challenges. We are looking for candidates who are comfortable at the intersection of technology and business. The Solutions Architect is a technical role — you must be broadly competent across many areas of technology (Generative AI, Agentic AI, cloud infrastructure, security, DevOps, databases, application development, data analytics) and developing depth in at least 1–2 of those areas. On the business side, the ability to connect technology with measurable business value is critical for our customers' successful use of AWS. You will spend most of your day interacting with multiple customer stakeholders, including Directors, Architects, Developers, and Engineers.
Key job responsibilities
A day in the life
As a Solutions Architect in Riyadh, your day revolves around customer impact. You might start the morning reviewing an architecture proposal for an enterprise customer exploring a migration from on-premises or competing cloud platforms to AWS. Mid-morning, you join a technical session with a customer's engineering team, working through a solution design for their application platform and advising on the right mix of compute, AI/ML, and data services.
After lunch, you collaborate with your Account Manager and the wider account team on a strategy call — contributing to the technical win plan for a competitive opportunity and identifying the right Specialist SAs or ProServe resources to bring in. Later in the afternoon, you might support a workshop or Immersion Day for a group of developers at a customer site, walking them through hands-on labs on Amazon Bedrock, GenAI application patterns, or container modernisation with EKS.
Between customer meetings, you capture feedback on product gaps, contribute to a blog post on a solution pattern, or review an architecture alongside a teammate. Your week also includes internal syncs with the broader KSA SA team, community knowledge-sharing sessions, and preparation for upcoming events. No two days are the same, but the constant is clear: you are a trusted technical partner for your customers, and your work directly drives their success on AWS.
