The mission of the Solutions Specialist is to be the single point of contact with and advocate for the Jack Henry field sales organization and the respective lines of business development teams. Their primary mission is to drive sales of the Jack Henry Card Processing Solutions (CPS) set targeting the consumer and business financial services needs of our existing and prospective customers.

Solutions Specialists are the primary product resource for the field sales force. Solutions Specialists are responsible for actively driving and managing the application evaluation stage of the sales process, working in conjunction with the sales team as the key technical advisor and product advocate for their product responsibility. The Solutions Specialist must be able to articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users. Must be able to identify all technical issues of assigned accounts to assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales process. Must be able to establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the sales cycle.

Ideal candidate must be self-motivated with a proven track record in card processing services sales and knowledge, the technologies that surround it and the industry in general. Comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of a technical organization with a rapidly expanding customer base. Must possess strong presentation skills and be able to communicate professionally in written responses to emails, RFPs, and when submitting reports. Organized and analytical, able to eliminate sales obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches. Must be prepared for extensive travel.

This position may be worked remotely within the United States, with the exception of California.

All positions, regardless of location, may require an onsite interview or in-person onboarding requirement to verify your identity.  

What you’ll be responsible for:

  • Discover, assess, and document customer business and technical requirements.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on CPS ATM, debit, and credit card processing solutions and the card payments industry.
  • Recommend and position solutions that help financial institutions achieve business objectives.
  • Lead product demonstrations, presentations, and solutioning sessions tailored to customer needs.
  • Partner with Sales Executives to develop account strategies, solution designs, specifications, and pricing proposals.
  • Communicate customer requirements, product feedback, and enhancement opportunities to Product Management.
  • Support RFI/RFP responses and provide functional and technical product expertise.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities, product gaps, and alternative solutions to meet customer needs.
  • Coordinate sales activities, including meetings, strategy sessions, resource allocation, and cross-functional collaboration with Marketing and other teams.
  • Represent CPS at customer events, conferences, trade shows, and industry forums while fostering strong customer relationships and satisfaction
  • May perform other job duties as assigned.

What you’ll need to have:

  • Minimum of 10 years of sales engineering experience for card processing services.
  • Must be able to travel up to 30%.

What would be nice for you to have:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Strong knowledge of debit, ATM, and credit card processing, including industry trends and business challenges.
  • Experience with card processing concepts such as network affiliations, interchange revenue, EMV, and card portfolio management.
  • Familiarity with Jack Henry products and lines of business.
  • Demonstrated success managing complex customer relationships and presenting technology solutions to business and technical stakeholders.
  • Strong sales, consulting, and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize, manage multiple responsibilities, and meet deadlines.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional efforts, manage technical resources, and collaborate as a team player.
