Drive Pulp Industry Innovation as Solution Manager, Pulp Solutions China

Join us and lead the transformation of chemical pulp solutions across China. In this role, you will drive business growth for analyzers, measurements, and performance solutions within our Automation business line. You will partner with sales and product teams to craft winning value propositions and set performance guarantees that close deals. From customer meetings to strategic business planning, you will shape how we compete and grow in the pulp and paper market. Your responsibilities

• You will drive business growth through commercial product management of selected chemical pulp solutions, crafting winning value propositions and performance guarantees.
• You will partner with product management and sales teams to sharpen our competitive edge and develop new business opportunities.
• You will join customer meetings during the sales phase, building trusted relationships and translating technical expertise into commercial wins.
• You will lead the creation of marketing and reference materials with our Automation marketing team, highlighting our impact.
• You will engage in business planning with sales teams to foster growth and align our solutions with market needs.

Expectations for you

• You bring solid experience (minimum 5 years) from kraft pulp making processes, with paper making experience as a plus, and a degree in Engineering or Technology (M.Sc., B.Sc., or PhD).
• You have proven business development ability in a matrix organization, with strong interpersonal and influencing skills and experience in sales or negotiation situations.
• You are fluent in English (written and oral), proactive, self-directed, and collaborative, with a continuous learning mindset and proficiency in data analytics.
• Familiarity with Valmet automation solutions is an advantage.
• You are willing to travel approximately 150 days per year, mainly domestically with occasional international trips.

To succeed in this role, you will need deep expertise in kraft pulp making processes combined with strong business development instincts and the ability to influence stakeholders across a matrix organization. You will leverage your data analytics skills and continuous learning mindset to identify growth opportunities and craft compelling value propositions. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential as you partner with sales, product, and marketing teams while engaging directly with customers in a fast-paced, global setting.
