Job Description

What You'll Do

The Solution Engineer is the technical heart of Versori's USA commercial team. You will partner with the Account Executives on every deal where the technical complexity warrants a dedicated scoping conversation, product demonstration or proof-of-concept build. You translate a customer's integration requirements into a Versori solution design and make the technical case for why Versori is the right platform for their needs.

You will sit at the intersection of sales and product. You will be the most technically credible person in the room on customer calls, and you will also be one of the most important feedback channels from the market back into Versori's product team.

You will report to the Director of Sales, Versori and work remote.

What Your Responsibilities Will Be

  • You will support the account executive team on all deals requiring technical discovery, solution design or live demonstrations
  • You will lead the technical elements of discovery calls: understanding the customer's existing system landscape, integration requirements, data volumes and technical constraints
  • You will design Versori solutions that address the customer's integration requirements, including connector architecture, data flow mapping and tenant structure
  • You will deliver compelling live product demonstrations tailored to the customer's specific use case and technical environment
  • You will build and run proof-of-concept integrations for strategic deals to demonstrate real-world capability before contract signature
  • You will write the technical sections of commercial proposals, including solution architecture descriptions, technical specifications and implementation timelines
  • You will support the Partnerships Lead with technical scoping conversations for the Avalara partner free build programme
  • Be the primary technical escalation point for the Account Manager team on complex customer questions
  • Feed structured product feedback from customer conversations into the product team's quarterly roadmap sessions

What You’ll Need To Be Successful

  • 3 to 7 years of experience in a technical pre-sales, solutions engineering or integration consulting role
  • Hands-on experience with integration platforms, API management tools, middleware or workflow automation products
  • Read, write and reason about API specifications (REST, GraphQL, webhooks) and data transformation logic
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite or Microsoft Dynamics, or retail commerce platforms such as Shopify or Salesforce Commerce Cloud.
  • Pesent complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Comfortable managing the technical narrative in a sales environment without losing the commercial thread
  • Experience with multi-tenant SaaS architectures
