Evident Europe, headquartered in Hamburg, Germany, employs approximately 350 people in 16 countries. The product portfolio includes a wide range of microscope systems used in clinical diagnostics, medical and basic research, as well as in various industrial areas.

Tasks

The primary objective of the AI Engineer is to create unique value propositions by ensuring our AI services are impactful and relevant. The AI Engineer will play a key role to upskill the capability of systematic AI adoption for the entire organization. This involves collaborating closely with stakeholders to understand our business goals and identify, assess and prioritize AI use cases. The AI Engineer is responsible for successful implementation and delivery of new AI services.

At Evident, you will turn business needs into practical AI solutions for teams across finance, HR, sales, service, legal and quality assurance. You will own solutions from initial request through development and delivery, working directly with stakeholders and external partners.

What you’ll do

• Identify and prioritize AI use cases with business teams.
• Design, build and scale AI services, including solutions using large language models and retrieval augmented generation (RAG).
• Deliver working solutions at pace and integrate them into business processes.
• Guide external development partners and explain technical choices to stakeholders at all levels.
• Help teams adopt AI and share effective practices across the organization.

Requirements

What you bring

• Strong hands-on experience developing and deploying AI solutions independently.
• Practical experience with Microsoft services, particularly Azure, and Anthropic’s Claude suite.
• Knowledge of machine learning, LLMs, RAG and data engineering practices.
• Clear communication, sound judgment and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• A relevant master’s degree or equivalent experience, plus 10+ years of experience in operational and strategic technology roles in an industrial setting.

The role can be based in Prague, with remote working, or Hamburg, with a 50/50 office arrangement.
