Solution Designer (Senior) – Cloud & Azure - FLU003954

Melle, Belgium

Full-time (100%) | Time & Materials | Hybrid

Start Date: 07 July 2026

Application Deadline: 20 May 2026

Duration: 24 months (with extension option)

We are looking for a Senior Solution Designer to join the CCoE within ICT Design & Integration. In this role, you will help design and evolve a secure, scalable, and reliable Azure-based cloud foundation for a large enterprise environment in the energy sector.

You will act as a key bridge between governance, platform teams, and product teams, ensuring that cloud architecture, design decisions, and implementations align with organisational standards and business needs.

Key Responsibilities


  • Design and evolve a secure and scalable Azure cloud platform

  • Define and implement cloud governance policies, including EPAC

  • Create solution designs in collaboration with product and application teams

  • Provide technical coordination across multiple projects

  • Continuously improve internal cloud services and platform capabilities

  • Review and challenge designs from external vendors and outsourcing partners

  • Ensure proper integration across cloud services and platforms

  • Design and implement cost allocation models (FinOps)

  • Support product teams with budgeting, cost governance, and Azure cost visibility

  • Manage Azure reservations, savings plans, and cost optimisation initiatives

  • Investigate and analyse cost anomalies and inefficiencies

Required Experience & Skills

  • Minimum 5 years' experience as Infrastructure Architect or Solution Designer
  • Experience in large enterprise environments (> 5000 users)
  • Strong experience with Agile / Scrum methodologies
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Azure architecture, design, and implementation
  • Experience with Azure Active Directory (Entra ID)
  • Experience with Azure Governance frameworks
  • Experience with Azure Bicep
  • Experience with Azure FinOps practices
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Fluent in English (CEFR C2)
  • Fluent in Dutch (CEFR C2)

Nice to Have


  • Experience in the Belgian energy sector

  • Experience with API management (± 3 years)

  • Experience with Sparx EA / enterprise architecture tooling

  • FinOps certification

  • Broad infrastructure architecture experience in complex environments

Work Environment


  • Hybrid working model with telework flexibility

  • Primary location: Melle

  • Regular travel to Mechelen, Brussels, and Hasselt (approx. once per week)

  • Full-time engagement in a large enterprise transformation context
