Position The Solution Design Lead (SEA) position is responsible for ensuring that high-quality, timely, and competitive responses are submitted for RFI, RFQ, and Bid Tenders, with a primary focus on Malaysia and support for the SEA area.

RFI/RFQ/Bid & Proposal Management: Conduct thorough analysis of Request for Information (RFI) and Requests for Quotation (RFQs), tender documents to ensure all technical, commercial, and operational requirements are fully understood and addressed in the response strategy. Review and interpret contractual terms and conditions to identify potential risks, obligations, and opportunities for negotiation. Take ownership of delivering high-quality, compelling, and compliant RFI/RFQ/bid responses that align with customer expectations and company standards.
Project & Time Management: Maintain oversight of RFI/RFQ/Bid timelines, ensuring all milestones and deadlines are met through effective planning, coordination, and communication. Demonstrate strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing multiple concurrent bids and priorities.
Innovation & Competitiveness: Continuously seek innovative and cost-effective solutions to enhance the competitiveness of proposals and increase win rates.Gather and analyze pricing data and market intelligence to inform bid strategies and value propositions.
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders including Growth Enablement, Procurement, QHSE, and Operations teams across both local and global MPL networks. Engage with counterparts in other regions to share best practices, lessons learned, and drive alignment on global standards.
Customer Interaction & Negotiation: Participate in customer presentations, clarification meetings, and contract negotiations as required to support business development efforts and secure new opportunities.
Performance Review & Continuous Improvement: Contribute to post RFI/RFQ/Bid reviews, including analysis of lost opportunities and lessons learned, to drive continuous improvement in bid quality and strategy.Regularly review Salesforce (SFDC) opportunities to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of bid activities.
What we are looking for
Minimum 5 years of technical knowledge and hands-on experience in Project Logistics, including solution design, pricing strategies and end-to-end tender management across all transport modes (ocean freight, land transport, airfreight, waterway transport (barge).
Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain profitability drivers, with the ability to design commercially viable and operationally sound solutions.
Demonstrated ability to work in cross-functional teams and facilitate effective decision-making across departments.
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to anticipate operational risks and incorporate preventative measures into solution planning.
Experience in crafting customized, detail-oriented logistics solutions tailored to specific project requirements with customer-centric outcomes.
Skilled in delivering persuasive and professional presentations tailored to diverse audiences.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Malay and English enabling effective interaction with internal teams and external stakeholders across regions.
Solid awareness of digital platforms, logistics technologies, and tools that support solution design, pricing, and bid management processes.
Willingness and flexibility to travel both domestically and internationally, as required by project demands and customer engagements.
