As a Logistics Systems Designer, you bridge the gap between business requirements and operational reality. In this role. Drawing layouts will be only the beginnig. You will own the end-to-end conceptualization of scalable logistics solutions that power our European Distribution Centers. You will translate volume forecasts and technology capabilities into practical concepts that improve throughput, safety, and cost performance.
Key responsibilities:
End-to-End Design: Crafting robust intralogistics concepts, including storage strategies, labor models, and material handling assumptions.
Data Modeling: Analyzing order profiles, seasonality, and SKU behavior to eliminate bottlenecks and define flow assumptions.
Automation & Layout: Optimizing warehouse footprints and integrating cutting-edge tech, sorters, and conveyors.
System Integration: Defining functional requirements for WMS/WCS and ensuring seamless data capture and KPI visibility.
Investment Support: Preparing business cases, ROI models, and technical inputs for procurement and stakeholder decision-making.
Implementation & Handover: Moving from theory to practice by supporting UAT, ramp-up activities, and operational handovers.
Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics engineering, warehouse design, or intralogistics automation.
Deep knowledge of inbound/outbound processes, slotting, and warehouse performance KPIs.
Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial/Mechanical Engineering, Automation, or a related technical field
Practical experience with WMS, WCS, and ERP interfaces.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel (advanced modeling), and PowerPoint. Experience with warehouse simulation software, Miro, Signavio, SolidWorks is a plus.
Fluency in English additional language is a plus, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
Willingness to travel occasionally to our European sites and supplier locations.
