Job Description


The role of a Solution Delivery lead is responsible for the development and delivery of strategic objectives across MUFG Corporate Markets.

With a strategic focus and responsibility to ensure that the direction and development of system is in line with client and industry expectation as well.

The Solution Delivery lead will work closely with the delivery, product teams and business stakeholders to support ongoing deliveries, improvements, manage staff productivity and increase efficiency within the teams.
  • Manage project scopes, timelines, resources, deployments, and business/technical relationships – from scoping/planning through implementation
  • Manage stakeholder expectations to be in line with agreed to technical requirements, allowing the delivery of high-quality implementations to customer satisfaction, on agreed to schedules
  • Ensure that project dependencies, milestones, deliverables and status are clearly communicated and understood by the project teams, stakeholders and management
  • Identify and manage risks to the success of projects and know when and how to escalate
  • Coordinate and conduct regular, effective, and efficient meetings to review project status, resolve issues and address risks
  • Ensure project teams are following agreed to processes (priorities, task management, time tracking, etc.)
  • Manage project change requests
Key Accountabilities and main responsibilities

Strategic Focus
  • Build strong relationships and actively collaborate across functions to support the achievement of objectives with clear and upfront mutual expectations, including with business customers.
  • Deliver and champion continuous improvement initiatives to ensure that best practice is incorporated into the business
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, to ensure alignment with and delivery of customer centric solutions against the overall strategy
  • Work within a dynamic, varied, complex and time critical environment to the highest quality standards without compromising risk and cost to service
  • Challenging our ways of working to drive and deliver positive change to our handling processes
  • Help build capability across our teams to uplift our product knowledge and support our ambition to be an industry thought leader

Operational Management
  • Ensure that all interactions and activities are oriented to the client/ member experience
  • Demonstrate proactive and modern ways of working using tools and techniques to achieve high productivity within a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Implement effective governance for project tracking and reporting to ensure timely and appropriate decision making.
  • Proactively manage variance and change requests within control mechanisms
  • Plan, control and monitor costs and outcomes to ensure they meet financial objectives.

People Leadership
  • Create and drive an organisational culture where employees are engaged and motivated through demonstrated leadership effectiveness.
  • Liaise with multiple internal departments so that processes are executed in the best interest of the member.
  • Provide leadership and direction to all team members for the development
  • Promote a One MUFG culture within the team encouraging collaboration and leveraging expertise across the business areas to deliver exceptional results.
  • Promote a culture of high performance that values learning and a commitment to quality and customer centricity in line with MUFG’s core values.
  • Develop client service specific leader content to uplift our leaders knowledge and capability

Governance & Risk
  • Ensure the development of a risk management culture, and effectively limit risk exposure to MUFG with strategies to mitigate risk.
  • Ensure total compliance with statutory regulations including the mitigation of operational risk through the effective use of the incident management framework.
  • Foster a proactive risk and compliance culture within the team and ensure all risk and compliance reporting and assurance obligations are met.
  • Maintain awareness of the regulatory environment with respect to team functions.
  • Leverage expertise to ensure that regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements are met, with adequate controls in place.

Experience & Personal Attributes
  • Minimum 6 years’ experience in Technology Project Management
  • Experience in Banking and Financials company will be preferred
  • Minimum 3 years hands on experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Strong understanding of the development processes/full SDLC, and how they relate to project management processes.
  • Understanding of web technologies to effectively manage risk & complexities within projects, and those that integrate across project teams.
  • Understanding of data project, data dependencies, SQL, data warehouse technologies.
  • Proven experience with project management tracking/reporting tools (eg. JIRA/ Confluence, ADO, Smartsheet, MS Project or similar)
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects, or a number of project streams under a large program
  • Experience managing project dependencies and blocker issues, developing risk mitigation plans, and escalating when required.
  • Demonstrated ability for proactive issue resolution with dependencies on project success related to inter-dependencies on other teams
  • Ability to work independently, with some management oversight, to manage multiple projects from inception to completion
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and project resources, and negotiate or escalate when competing priorities arise, to meet commitments throughout the project timeline
  • Hands-on experience in managing end to end technology deliveries and projects
  • Hands-on in estimation, project tracking, project management, weekly reporting, steerco reporting, creating dashboards for stakeholders and delivery teams
  • Ability to set clear goals to achieve outcomes, take accountability and ownership of actions. and hold others accountable to meet commitments.
  • Ability to effectively understand and manage operational risk
  • Strong MS Office skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
