Job Description
Solution Consultant (Pre-Sales) Infor PLM for Process & Digital Product Innovation (m/f/d)
Department: Sales
Employment Type: Full Time

Description
Job location: Europe - Infor office or home office.
Join a specialized EMEA solution consulting team at the intersection of product innovation, process manufacturing, regulatory compliance, cloud technology and AI. You will help manufacturers rethink how products are conceived, formulated, approved, packaged, commercialized, and continuously improved.
This is not a traditional ERP presales role. You will work with R&D, product development, quality, regulatory, procurement, manufacturing and executive stakeholders to connect business priorities with practical solution designs. You will position and demonstrate Infor PLM for Process across Food & Beverage, Ingredients, Consumer Packaged Goods, Chemicals, Cosmetics, Personal Care, Nutritional Products, Life Sciences and other formulation-based industries.
Why This Role Is Different
- Own visible, high-impact work in a specialized practice where your expertise directly shapes customer conversations and business growth.
- Influence the full digital product lifecycle, from formulation and specifications through compliance, packaging, labeling, and manufacturing handoff.
- Work with a purpose-built PLM product that supports both formulation and packaging in one solution.
- Help customers connect PLM with ERP, quality, laboratory, regulatory, product data and analytics landscapes, including environments that use non-Infor ERP systems.
- Explore how AI and agentic capabilities can accelerate solution design, scripting, demonstrations and product innovation processes.
- Build a career path toward deeper industry expertise, Solution Architect and Forward Deployment Architect capabilities.
- Collaborate internationally across EMEA and with PLM colleagues in North America.
What You Will Do
Customer discovery and value consulting
- Lead discovery workshops covering product development, formulation, recipes, ingredients, specifications, packaging, compliance, quality, claims and commercialization.
- Turn complex customer challenges into clear business outcomes, solution scope, architecture principles and value narratives.
- Engage confidently with business users, technical specialists and executive stakeholders, focusing on speed to market, risk reduction, compliance and operational excellence.
Demonstrations and sales execution
- Design and deliver persuasive demonstrations, workshops and Proofs of Concept grounded in customer-specific scenarios.
- Create and maintain demonstration environments, industry templates, sample data and end-to-end stories with peers and product experts.
- Support RFI and RFP responses and guide solution conversations across PLM, ERP, LIMS, quality, regulatory and integration landscapes.
- Build trusted relationships with prospects, customers, partners, account teams and internal specialists throughout the sales cycle.
Solution design and transition
- Act as the functional solution owner as opportunities move from presales into delivery.
- Collaborate with architects, implementation teams and partners to create coherent, scalable designs and effective handovers.
- Challenge requirements constructively, maximize standard capabilities and avoid unnecessary customization.
- Contribute to product data, master data, workflow, governance, integration and migration discussions.
Market and Practice Development
- Contribute to webinars, customer events, industry conferences, reusable digital assets, enablement and thought leadership.
- Build deep knowledge of Infor PLM for Process, Infor CloudSuite, Infor OS, relevant roadmaps and process-industry trends.
- Share customer insight with product and industry specialists to strengthen future messaging and solution direction.
A Typical Day in the Life Includes:
- Facilitate an innovation workshop with an R&D and quality team at a global process manufacturer.
- Tailor a demonstration around formulation, allergens, nutritional data, specifications, labeling or packaging.
- Work with an architect on data flows between PLM, ERP, laboratory, quality and regulatory applications.
- Build a value story for an executive audience and coach an account team on the customer narrative.
- Configure a demo scenario, review a script or SQL-based requirement, or explore how AI can accelerate the work.
- Prepare a Proof of Concept and document decisions for a smooth handover to delivery.
- Collaborate with international PLM colleagues, product experts and partners on reusable industry scenarios.
