The opportunity

As a Solution Architect for Windchill, you will be part of a global team responsible for delivering solutions to support Transformers Business Unit PLM’s roadmap. In this role, you will provide and review solutions designed to fulfil business requirements, ensuring architectural and development best practices are followed. You will collaborate with the PLM Program team in charge of Windchill deployment to factories and with the delivery and service operations teams. This position offers a unique opportunity to grow and learn in a supportive environment.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Contribute to the contents and maintenance of the Windchill PLM Roadmap

  • Develop a PLM Architecture that best supports the Windchill PLM Roadmap and related business processes

  • Make sure that the PLM system architecture is kept state-of-the-art and fulfills internal and external technical requirements, aligning with company defined practices and strategic goals

  • Perform technical analysis of requirements and assessment of solutions in Windchill

  • Provide expert inputs and make recommendations on ways to achieve solution concepts and resolution of issues, coordinating interdependencies, synchronized approach, technology choices and challenges to reach agreed technical solutions

  • Work with PLM vendors, third-party consultants and internal teams to ensure their deliverables adhere to best practices and agreed architectural and security and compliance principles, including coding and technical documentation

  • Provide technical impact analysis of the solutions on the Windchill system, supporting infrastructure, client systems, future upgrades, future functional requirements, interfaces and downstream systems

Your background

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or similar
  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in the field of PLM systems
  • Minimum 7 years experience with Windchill Technology (across various disciplines)
  • Must: Needs customization & integration background
  • Nice-to-Have: Windchill Webservices/Rest API, Thingworx/Navigate, PDM/MPM Link, Options &Variants, CAD/WGM
  • Broad technical background supporting various technologies
  • Experience providing customer support and resolution of technical issues
  • Proven analytical abilities in addition to strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Fluent spoken and written English
