Job Description

You’re agile, keen and open to meaningful work and opportunities that come your way.

Your innovative mindset is key to creating solutions to complex problems. Our systems drive our organisational success and underpin every journey our customers take. This is your opportunity to be part of an expert team who build and refine seamless technology experiences.

In this role, you'll:

Working as part of a team delivering Technology products and services across Transport for NSW, you will help shape our enterprise platform, cloud, and technology architecture. In this role, you will be the driving force behind our cloud and platform strategy, architecture, and operations across AWS and Azure, ensuring our environments remain scalable, secure, resilient, and cost-effective.

You will lead the design of platform and cloud solutions involving complex infrastructure, networks, and security architectures within an enterprise-scale, hybrid, and multi-cloud environment. A key part of your focus will be guiding complex cloud transformation initiatives and large-scale enterprise migrations, while driving robust Infrastructure as Code (IaC) automation to ensure consistent, repeatable deployments. You will define the domain architecture and design standards for modern DevOps practices, effectively bridging the gap between infrastructure, security, and software engineering. All solutions you design will need to tightly align with both immediate business needs and our broader enterprise architecture principles.

To be successful, you are recognised as a domain architecture authority with proven experience in cloud architecture, security posture management, FinOps, and platform engineering within complex or regulated environments. Your strong background in DevSecOps practices, combined with excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, will see you excel in identifying strategic opportunities, addressing architectural weaknesses, driving optimisation, and ensuring solutions deliver tangible business value and compliance.
