
Role and Responsibilities
Samsung Networks Europe is expanding its presence across the European market with its leading Open RAN solutions. Within our Solution Team, we combine the agility of a start-up with the strength of a global technology leader.
As a Solution Architect for ORAN Service Management and Orchestration (SMO), you will play a key role in shaping customer solutions and driving technical sales activities. You will work closely with customers, partners, and internal teams to design and position advanced SMO solutions that address real business and operational needs.
You will join a team of experienced technical sales professionals who are trusted to define the best approach for their customers, supported by strong local and global teams.
What You’ll Be Doing
Act as a trusted advisor to customers on all topics related to SMO (Service Management & Orchestration)
Own the end-to-end technical presales process across the SMO portfolio
Design and develop tailored SMO solutions based on customer needs, market requirements, and available technologies
Build relationships with key technical stakeholders and decision-makers
Support sales teams with solution positioning, value argumentation, and technical materials
Stay up to date with market trends and regulatory developments and reflect them in proposed solutions
Act as the voice of the customer towards internal R&D teams
Identify new opportunities together with the Account Team
Lead technical streams of RFI/RFQ/RFP processes and coordinate supporting teams
Drive solution design, including dimensioning and architecture definition
Maintain strong knowledge of Samsung’s SMO portfolio and partner technologies
Skills and Qualifications
What You Bring
Extensive experience in the telecom industry, ideally in operations, O&M, or presales
Strong understanding of SMO / OAM systems and mobile network operations
Experience with consultative technical sales and customer-facing roles
Good understanding of automation in network operations
Ability to engage in technical discussions with customers and senior stakeholders
Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
Ability to take ownership of technical decisions
Degree in a relevant field (Telecoms, IT, Computer Science, etc.) or equivalent experience
Fluent Czech and English
Willingness to travel across Europe
Nice to Have
Experience with Open RAN / ORAN ecosystem
Familiarity with 3rd party HW/SW platforms and integrations
Experience with large-scale operator environments
Experience leading virtual or cross-functional teams
