Solution Architect, North America Pursuit COE

This role is responsible for the end-to-end design and delivery of Managed Print Services (MPS) and Managed Device Services (MDS) solutions that meet customer requirements and support business growth. It combines client engagement, solutioning, and risk management, leveraging technical and domain expertise to address complex business and operational challenges while aligning with HP service strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Engages with customers’ IT and business stakeholders to understand workplace, print, and device management needs, and translate them into MPS/MDS solutions.
  • Designs scalable and cost-effective print and device management solutions, including fleet optimization, lifecycle management, security, and service delivery models.
  • Identifies and mitigates risks across solution design, transition, and delivery, considering operational complexity, SLAs, cost structure, and dependencies.
  • Aligns solutions with HP MPS/MDS offerings, delivery capabilities, and commercial frameworks, supporting deal qualification and governance.
  • Partners with account teams to develop proposals, participate in RFPs, and support customer presentations, ensuring strong value articulation.
  • Acts as a technical advisor to customers, building trusted relationships and applying consultative selling to advance opportunities.
  • Identifies opportunities for expansion (upsell/cross-sell) within print and device environments.
  • Supports implementation by providing guidance to delivery teams, ensuring solution integrity from design to execution.
  • Incorporates security, analytics, automation, and workplace experience improvements into solutions.
  • Stays current with trends in digital workplace, device services, and managed services to continuously enhance solutions.

Education & Experience Recommended

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, Computer Science, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Typically 4–7 years of experience in solutioning, presales, delivery, or account management, ideally within MPS, MDS, IT services, or workplace solutions

Preferred Certifications (optional, not required)

  • ITIL Foundation (o similar)
  • Agile / Scrum fundamentals
