Assignment

We are looking for an experienced Solution Architect (m/w/d) to join a global enterprise technology environment. In this role, you will be responsible for defining, governing and assuring end-to-end solution architectures that support strategic business initiatives while ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards and technology roadmaps.

You will work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, project teams and technical specialists to design scalable, secure and maintainable solutions across complex IT landscapes. Acting as the architectural authority within projects, you will ensure technology decisions align with enterprise principles and contribute to long-term digital transformation initiatives.

This role combines architecture leadership with hands-on technical consultancy, balancing innovation with governance and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

As a Solution Architect, you will:

• Design and govern end-to-end solution architectures for business and IT initiatives.
• Translate enterprise architecture principles, standards and reference architectures into practical project solutions.
• Provide architecture guidance and technical assurance throughout the entire project lifecycle.
• Ensure solutions comply with security, integration, cloud and enterprise architecture standards.
• Review solution designs and identify architectural risks, dependencies and improvement opportunities.
• Support project teams in resolving complex technical and integration challenges.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Architects, Domain Architects, Product Owners and delivery teams.
• Drive the adoption of reusable architecture patterns, reference solutions and best practices.
• Contribute to technology roadmaps and digital transformation initiatives.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to existing platforms and capabilities.
• Produce and maintain architecture documentation, solution designs and decision records using enterprise architecture tooling.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor architects and engineering teams where appropriate.
• Build strong relationships with senior business stakeholders, technology leaders and external partners.

Qualifications

You are an experienced Solution Architect with a strong enterprise architecture background and the ability to bridge business strategy and technology delivery.

You bring:

• Extensive experience designing enterprise-scale IT solutions within complex international organisations.
• Strong understanding of application, integration, cloud and infrastructure architecture.
• Experience working with enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or equivalent.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS or Google Cloud) and modern architecture patterns.
• Experience with API-led integration, event-driven architecture and microservices.
• Familiarity with architecture modelling tools such as IBM System Architect, PowerDesigner, Sparx Enterprise Architect or similar.
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at both technical and executive levels.
• Experience contributing to enterprise technology strategy, governance and architecture standards.
• Excellent analytical, communication and leadership skills.
