Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Solution Architect (.NET) with 12+ years of experience in designing, architecting, and modernizing enterprise-grade desktop/client applications. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in NET technologies, strong knowledge of legacy application ecosystems, and a proven ability to design scalable, secure, and future-ready solutions aligned with business objectives.

The Solution Architect will serve as a strategic bridge between business and IT stakeholders, driving innovation, application modernization, integration excellence, and sustainable architecture practices across the MProfile landscape.

Experience Required

12+ years of experience in software engineering, solution architecture, and enterprise application development, with significant exposure to NET-based desktop/client applications, system modernization, and enterprise integrations.

Technical Expertise

NET Architecture:

• Extensive experience in designing and implementing enterprise-scale solutions using NET Framework / .NET, C#, Java, Object-Oriented Design Principles, Design Patterns and Best Practices.
• Strong understanding of Data modeling, Application performance optimization, Complex GUI rendering, Desktop and client application architecture

Legacy Technologies:

• Hands-on experience with legacy desktop application ecosystems, including C++, MFC, VB.NET, Fortran
• Proven experience in modernization and migration initiatives from legacy platforms to modern .NET technologies

Desktop Application:

• Experience in designing and developing modern client/desktop applications integrated with enterprise platforms

Integration Architecture:

• Strong expertise in enterprise integration strategies involving: SAP Integration technologies, API Management, REST APIs, SOAP Services, OData Services
• Experience designing reliable, secure, and scalable integration patterns.

Security & Compliance

• Design and implementation of: Authorization concepts, Single Sign-On (SSO), Identity Provisioning, Secure application architectures,
• Understanding of compliance requirements including: GDPR, Data privacy and governance standards
• Understanding of application security and Software IP Protection

Methodological & Architectural Skills

Enterprise Architecture

• Strong understanding of enterprise architecture principles and architectural governance.
• Ability to align technology strategies with enterprise and business objectives.

Project Delivery Methodologies

• Practical experience with Agile (Scrum, SAFe), Waterfall methodologies
• Ability to guide teams through the complete software development lifecycle.

Solution Design & Evaluation

• Conduct fit-gap assessments and architecture reviews.
• Create solution blueprints and technical roadmaps.
• Evaluate technology options and recommend optimal solutions.
• Develop cost-efficient prototypes and proof-of-concepts.

Documentation & Modeling

• Produce high-quality architectural documentation including Solution designs, Technical specifications, Architecture diagrams, System blueprints

Business Process Competence

Process Optimization

• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Drive process improvements through architecture and technology innovation.
• Ensure alignment between IT architecture and business KPIs.

Industry-Specific Knowledge

• Understanding of engineering and manufacturing-related domains, including:
• CAD applications
• Product design processes
• Piston profiling and related engineering workflows

Digitalization Strategy

• Contribute to digital transformation initiatives through modern .NET technologies and application modernization strategies.
• Support innovation and continuous improvement programs across the organization.

Communication & Leadership Skills

Stakeholder Communication

• Effectively communicate architectural decisions and technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Facilitate discussions between business teams, product owners, and development organizations.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Lead architecture workshops and design reviews.
• Collaborate with global and cross-functional teams to drive successful project outcomes.

Vendor & Partner Management

• Coordinate with external vendors, implementation partners, and consulting teams involved in MProfile initiatives.
• Ensure solution quality and architectural compliance across partner deliveries.

Mentoring & Coaching

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to developers, engineers, and junior architects.
• Promote architecture best practices and knowledge sharing within the organization.

Certifications & Continuous Learning

Preferred Certifications

• NET Architect Certification or equivalent professional certification.
• Client Applications: Design and develop Client/Desktop application with modern technologies in .net framework

Continuous Learning

• Commitment to staying current with emerging technologies, architectural trends, and industry best practices.
• Active participation in architecture communities, training programs, and professional development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and govern the architecture roadmap for MProfile applications.
• Design scalable, maintainable, and secure desktop/client solutions using modern .NET technologies.
• Lead application modernization initiatives for legacy platforms.
• Architect enterprise integrations with SAP and third-party systems.
• Establish architecture standards, design principles, and governance processes.
• Drive solution reviews, risk assessments, and technical decision-making.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate strategic goals into technical solutions.
• Mentor development teams and provide architectural leadership throughout project delivery.
